The design is no longer fashionable, a new collection has been added, it has only been worn once or not at all, the germant has become too small or too big, the clothes are tattered, there are no pockets, the color is boring, they all wear the same because it’s from a chain store, it was not a right gift… For these reasons, the vast majority of consumers throw huge amounts of clothes into the trash every year, thus creating tons of rubbish around the globe.

Over the past 15 years, global clothing production has doubled to meet buyers’ demand, and the fashion industry has become the second largest polluter of the environment.

Fashion recycling is one of those tools that helps to protect the environment, and at the same time give clothes a second life – after altering, shortening, adding new elements such as drawing or embroidery applied by hand in the sashiko or boro style, narrowing

Signposts that do not disturb the ecological balance of the world, and which we follow in the design and production of our clothes, are care for the environment, pure  nature, water saving and fashion recycling. This one is becoming not only more and more popular, but also necessary to protect our planet. The world of fashion is the perfect space for recycling. When designing our clothes, we always keep in mind the principles of sustainable fashion, which allows the product to be re-circulated in a completely new style . Out of concern for nature – Our collections are not created using machines for mass production, and we take care of the least water consumption when designing and creating clothes. In addition, we care about the future of our planet, which is why we use materials that are not chemically processed, and when searching for and buying them, we pay special attention to the fact that the clothes are – produced using only natural dyes or environmentally friendly paints. Additionally, you will find on our products  mouline threads and characteristic patterns drawn by hand with the Japanese technique of sashiko and boro embroidery. Exprimere_te products are also made on the basis of upcycling – the younger sister of recycling, which consists in giving previously manufactured items a new life. What inspires us to do this is the desire to create a unique style, look or give a completely new function to our clothes in a unique way. Thanks to this, the products that leave our studio are timeless and unique. Each of them creates an individual style characteristic of Exprimere_te and our clients We are against FAST-FASHION, which means that consumers prefer to buy a completely new garment instead of taking care of the clothes they already have or buying new clothes that were made as part of fashion recycling. Our task is to find such clothes for you in various corners of the fashion world. Guided by the principle of recycling and environmental protection, we look for clothes for you in places such as vintage stores, second-hand shops … we also appear at vintage fairs in Poland and abroad.

We find gems and real treasures for you, and then we transform them in such a way that they are more expressive, individual and timeless, functional and at the same time express what is important and essential in nature protection.Every year, millions of tons of clothes are thrown away and destroyed. Their production, as well as their utilization, has negative ecological effects. Did you know that 50% of textiles, such as wool, can be recovered and 50% recycled?Statistics published by the Environmental Protection Agency show a dramatic increase in textile waste for our environment, comparing 1960 to 2015.According to the results of these studies, the amount of textile waste has increased by as much as 811% since 1960, of which 66% is disposed of in landfills. The Ellen MacArthur Foundation has published a report on the fashion industry.

It shows that in the production of clothes in the world – more than 1.2 billion tons of greenhouse gases are emitted annually, which is definitely more than air and water transport combined. The authors of the report also point to the detrimental effect of purchasing clothes that  we rarely wear, and even less often we recycle – losses in this area reach USD 500 billion a year, and less than 1% of used clothing is recycled annually.Such drastic data are the effect of Fast-fashion, which should be optimally minimized, and pay attention in society to ecology, the natural environment and the entire ecosystem, which due to lack of common sense will soon become a deadly threat to humans when there is no clean air and water.One of the tools that protects the environment is recycling, which is one of the foundations of Exprimere_te. Thanks to recycling, we reduce the consumption of natural resources, energy consumption, and we also reduce waste in landfills.
