Today we hear from every side that it is worth taking care of the planet, that minimalism is a desired lifestyle, that we need to cut down on plastic and avoid mass production. That is why today I am going to give you some ideas of what you can do to be a more conscious consumer without turning your life upside down.
5 zero waste lifestyle ideas
Segregate rubbish
Obvious? Not for everyone. Despite the fact that there is an obligation to segregate waste in homes and apartments, not everyone does. The question is why? This little gesture is a contribution for the recycling because is is so important for the future of our planet. Remember that plastic that you throw away into a different container than the intended one, most likely is not going be recycled.
Buy a jug or filter bottle
Ok, we all know that drinking water is important, but how to do it ecologically? Piling up plastic bottles after each drunk water are the bane of many people. Instead, I propose reusable filtering tap water jug, glass bottle that have built-in replaceable carbon filter.
Bet on quality
… not by quantity. Each of us needs to buy, I have no doubts about that. We do have a real impact on what will be in our basket. Sometimes it is worth considering whether better to have more inferior items, or maybe less of the very good quality? I think there is only one answer. Remember that the materials from which clothes are made have an impact even on Your health. Bet on good-quality, natural materials and your shopping needs will be smaller. Artificial, mass production is not an investment for years.
Shopping without plastic disposables
Nothing easier. Even if you don’t have a cupboard of shame at home with lots of plastic bags, that’s for sure you will find some reusable bag that you can take with you shopping so as not to buy subsequent bags. Buying a bag that will decompose over the next 400 years to 15 minutes to get your purchases home. Does not sounds good isn’t it? Use cotton bag that you already have at home or invest in zero waste bags for vegetables and fruits and other products.
Go for a walk or bike
This is not the easiest moment for the planet . So we have to do something together will improve her situation. Small steps and implementing them now are a good idea!
